Sen Udende Memsa Emmanuel
He was born on 30th December 1960. Udende Mensa holds a Bsc. in Law from the Nigerian Law School.
He was the Deputy Local Government chairman from (1991-1997).
In 1990, Udende was first elected as Legal Adviser, Social Democratic Party (SDP), Katsina-Ala LGA. In August 1991, he was elected the pioneer Chairman of SDP, Ukum LGA. Deputy Chairman Ukum LGC, a position he held till 1995. In 1996, Rt. Hon Udende was elected as Executive Chairman Ukum LGC on a zero-party basis.
He returned to private legal practice after his tenure as Chairman. He returned to politics in 1999 and emerged as the Youth Leader state level under PDP; in 2001 he was appointed the Rt. Hon Udende emerged as the pioneer Youth Leader (State), PDP and in 2001, he was appointed as the Commissioner for Information and Culture Benue State. He served at the Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs till 2007.
He is currently serving in the 9th National Assembly representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Constituency in the House of Representatives under the (PDP) Peoples Democratic Party (2015-2011-2019-2023).
During his term in the House of Representatives, he served in the following committees; Police Affairs, Labour, Employment & Productivity, Petroleum Resources (Down Stream), Rules & Business, Air Force, Justice, Public Service Matter, FCT Area Councils & Ancillary Matters, and Drugs & Narcotics.
