Born in 1950 in Jabia Kaduna State, the lawmaker is currently serving his first term as a Senator representing Kebbi South Senatorial District under the platform of the People Democratic Party in the 10th Assembly.
Before joining mainstream politics, Senator Musa was a full-time teacher from 1972 before retiring and politics.
In the 2023 election, he contested against an incumbent Senator, Bala Ibn Na’Allah of the All Progressives Congress, the election that was seen as one of the toughest contests
