Hon. Jimbo was born on 12 March 1978. He is a native of Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
He is a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), serving his first term in the 10 National Assembly as a Member representing the Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The lawmaker aspired for the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the Social Democratic Party (SDP), which was pivotal to the formation of Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) in 2019.
