Born on 19th September, 1970. The Lawmaker is currently serving his first term as Member representing the Eket / Esit Eket / Ibeno / Onna Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, on the platform of the under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Hon. Okpolupm Etteh was the longest-serving Member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly from 2006 TO 2015, having served for three terms.
He chaired various Committees in the Third Assembly, and became Chief Whip in the Fourth Assembly between 2007 and 2011, after which he was made the House Leader of the State Assembly.
Hon. Etteh was one of the front runners in the 2015 Governorship race in Akwa Ibom State.
The Lawmaker was first appointed an Honorary Senior Special Adviser and later Commissioner for Special Duties by former Governor Udom Emmanuel.
