Born on 18th November 1969, Hon. Ekpo is currently serving his first term as a Member of the House of Representatives, where he represents the Etinan /Nsit Ibom / Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency. He is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Lawmaker was a former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry but was reassigned to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Hon. Ekpo is one of the founding members of the PDP, who served as State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 2012 to 2016. He also served two Governors of the State, Senator Godswill Akpabio in his second term as Governor and both terms of Governor Udom Emmanuel. He was also the Chairman of all PDP Chairmen in Nigeria.
