Hon Dumnamene Robinson Dekor
Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Dekor hails from the Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State. He attended Federal Government College (FGC), Ugwolawo, Kogi State, and the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he bagged a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geography.
Rt. Hon. Dekor has detailed exposure and experience in public service in both the Executive and Legislative Arms of Government. He was appointed to Khana Local Government Council as a member of the Care-taker Committee with the portfolio of Supervisor for Works from 2002 - 2003. He also worked as a Senior Personnel Officer with the State Independent Electoral Commission - Electoral Officer in charge of Ahoada East – between 2004 and 2006. In 2007, he was elected a Member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, serving as Deputy Speaker from 2008 - 2011.
Also, he served as Commissioner for Works in Rivers State, where he recorded notable achievements in helping Governor Nyesom Wike's administration to transform the infrastructural face of the State. He had a brief stint in the House of Representatives after being elected Member representing Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency in 2015 before the Judiciary judgement asked him to step aside. Rt. Hon. Dekor, however, was elected in 2019 and appointed Chairman House Committee on Host Communities.
In 2023, Rt. Honourable Dumnamene Robinson Dekor secured re-election to the House of Representatives to represent his Constituency under the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
